FOB and CIF terms for egg exports
Bulk egg buyers normally compare quotations using Incoterms such as FOB and CIF. For Pakistan-origin egg shipments, the correct structure depends on destination, freight availability, documentation requirements, insurance expectations and the buyer’s import process.
FOB quotation basis
Under an FOB-style discussion, the seller normally prepares the goods for export and coordinates delivery to the agreed port or vessel handover point. The buyer usually handles ocean freight, insurance and destination-side import arrangements.
CIF quotation basis
Under a CIF-style discussion, freight and insurance are included up to the named destination port. The buyer still needs to confirm import clearance, destination charges, cold-chain handling and local regulatory requirements.
What buyers should provide
